Baptism (Christenings)
Everyone is welcome to have their baby or child baptised – there are around 10,000 babies and infants christened each month in the Church of England! There is no difference between a baptism and a christening – it is simply two words used to describe the same thing! Baptism marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives. This first step is a response to God’s love.

Funerals – Celebrations of Life
As Christians, we believe there is more to life than death – death is not the end. Jesus proved this by rising to new life on that very first Easter Sunday morning. However, that doesn’t mean when we lose someone we love that it doesn’t hurt – it does hurt and it does matter. Another thing that will matter to you as loved ones of the departed is how you celebrate their life and lay them to rest with Jesus in eternal life.
If you wish to discuss any matters pertaining to funerals, celebrations of life, or even an ashes burial, then please make contact with a member of the clergy.
